Guns Akimbo (2020) by Jason Lei Howden

I’m really glad Daniel Radcliffe is picking up wild projects like these as they are unlikely to see the light of day otherwise. In many ways he is doing what Samuel L. Jackson does, picking films he would enjoy watching. At least that’s what I presume after having watched his ‘Hot Ones, First we Feast interview’ where he describes watching a lot of B-grade films. Of course that does mean that, ‘Guns Akimbo’ is a B-grade film. Its violent and packed with action but lacks any real substance. The characters and the plot lack depth, the emotions feel forced but if you’re bored one evening and want to watch a man with guns bolted to his hands try pee, go for it. The films seems to follow in the footsteps of films like Crank and I’m okay with that.
