The Secret life of Walter Mitty (2017) by Ben Stiller

I saw this film a while back and revisited it recently for research purposes. Before this I only knew Ben Stiller as the guy from Zoolander so this took me completely by surprise. The story is touching and sweet, as it tackles Mitty’s attempts to talk to woman he is attracted too, as well as his journey to be the person he dreams to be. It is told beautifully, complimented not only by stellar performances from Ben Stiller and Kristen Wigg, but also Sean Penn. The whole package is brought together with stunning cinematography that rivals that of a David Attenborough documentary. At the end of the day it is a feel good film with likeable characters, a meaningful journey and a warm message for changing times.
